The written word has often changed the course of history. A book is a unique world in itself where people get immersed for hours getting exposed to new ideas and thoughts, acquiring knowledge, making new discoveries and learning how to survive in this world. Poetry, though not everyone’s cup of tea, is known to have influenced and impacted large groups of people.
Literature is an inseparable part of civilization which has been humanity’s companion through different ages. And it has the power to change the world.
Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan in Bhubaneswar, one of India’s top ranked Deemed to be Universities, has taken the cue to facilitate the gathering of litterateurs from across the country where ideas and thoughts can be shared with the focus on contemporary literary trends. SOA Centre for Preservation, Propagation and Restoration of Ancient Culture and Heritage of India (PPRACHIN), SOA’s arm for conservation of age old cultural practices, had organized the first SOA Literary Festival in its campus on February 1 and 2, 2020 which was attended by more than 100 litterateurs from different parts of India.
It is a matter of great satisfaction that PPRACHIN has initiated steps to organize the 2nd literary festival in the SOA campus from November 24 to 26, 2023 which is expected to be graced by more than 200 litterateurs from different parts of the country.
While thanking and welcoming the eminent litterateurs who have given their consent to attend the festival, we hope the engagement will turn into a melting pot of great literary ideas. I wish all the participants a meaningful time and memorable stay in this historic city.
